Robin Jones Robin Jones — a walking encyclopedia of pop culture — had a wacky idea: in 1998, he gathered a group of his friends and family in "The Biz" to read transcripts from some of his favorite old radio programs at Borders Books in Los Angeles. He tapped Dan Foegelle to create the necessary music and sound effects to accompany these shows and, soon, the idea caught on... just not at Borders. In 2000, Robin moved his monthly shows to The Fake Gallery, a well-respected underground comedy theatre. There the shows took root and began to gain a following. But in 2005, after finally figuring out how to make press releases, Robin and his wife/co-star/muse Mary Keefe O'Brien found greener pastures back East where they continue to live. Robin continues to help select radio shows for the cast to perform and remains involved as advisor and mentor to David. |
